"Although we only paid $25 for two cocktails, the overall experience was disappointing. We felt rushed and somewhat dismissed, as if we were being served as quickly as possible rather than being welcomed as customers. The cocktails themselves were nothing special and did not meet our expectations. What stood out most was the feeling that a tip was still expected despite the lackluster service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning."

"The lush, botanical decor and cozy seating create a fun yet relaxed vibe with great music. Drinks are inventive and strong, especially the seasonal specials. Tried a few small plates like the dumplings and cheese board; all tasty. Service was warm and efficient. It got busier later but remained comfortable. About $20 per person. Great neighborhood bar with character."

"Showed up to celebrate the birthday of a special someone to me for the first time on 04/06 and yes I have nothing bad to say about the drinks. Drinks were great. The bartender there was a tall man with two braids that worked on that specific Monday. First thing first on the menu we loved the drinks cause we assumed they were within a certain price point but the first drinks I ordered were double shots. Double shot margarita and double shot Leo rising. The bartender charged us 24 dollars per drink and my issue isn’t paying the amount it’s the fact that there was no communication about pricing until the end when we closed the tab out. And then the birthday boy I brought over asked for shots for me, himself and another friend of ours that showed up and we received double shots without asking for them, and ended up paying the price for them. Again not complaining , but what happened to courtesy of communication about pricing and then when we ended up paying, I asked if there is anything we owe more on, and the bartender looks at us and says “it’s a 100 dollar tab you are not gonna tip me?” Which felt like he was bullying us into tipping him. It’s not like we weren’t planning to but the approach felt like we were being bullied into it. Food service or the bartending industry is something I am way too familiar with as it is, no matter what that’s no way to speak to a customer. The security guard that was there tho that night, 10/10 no complaints"

"I had a horrible experience with a white tall male bartender. Off first walk in he did not even welcome me but judged that i had an expired ID and said “it’s bc ur 21 that im being hard on u. If u were older I wouldn’t care” like that’s not your job. Then accused my friend of being underage when it was literally her 21st birthday. On another occasion he also judged my friend for not tipping on 2 SHOTS before she even got the chance to finish her transaction. He seems very bad for business and it is clear that there are many other customers who have problems with this specific man."

"Botanica Bar is a cool, moody dive in Soho we stumbled into. $12 cocktails, beers around $7, and plenty of seating inside and out. Decor and lighting are awesome. Indie Americana on the speakers and great happy hour specials gave it an easy, laid-back vibe."
